In Sissach, in the Swiss canton of Baselland, a vigil has been taking place since last Thursday. The protest is against the threat of forced vaccination of two boys. This Monday, a written request was submitted to stop this order
We have already reported on the following case, which has now reached the mainstream media. (Here and here.)
Yesterday morning, the application and evidence submission now took place at KESB (Kindes- und Erwachsenenschutzbehörde) Gelterkinden-Sissach. The association PIU, which legally represents the mother and the affected children, wants to avert their threatened forced vaccination against measles.
On the spot were the press spokesman of PIU, Marek Schäfer, as well as various supporters, a delegation of the ‚freedom bellringers‘ Freiheitstrychler and the people who have maintained the vigil in front of the KESB building since Thursday. In the afternoon Marek Schäfer then visited the doctor who had agreed to vaccinate the children even against their will. In contrast to the KESB, the doctor received the press spokesman Schäfer for a conversation that was characterized by decency and respect.
Here is a recent short report about yesterday.
The petition demands a complete discontinuation of the compulsory vaccination order and its compulsory enforcement, i.e.: the two children concerned will not be vaccinated against their own will and certainly not by force.
A team from the PIU association has gone through a large number of publicly available documents and shows that the single measles vaccine single measles vaccine intended for vaccination is risky. A normally used triple vaccine against measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) cannot be used here, as the federal court has ordered only the measles vaccination.
The vigil in front of the Child and Adult Protection Authority (KESB) in Sissach (BL) takes place around the clock. It enjoys great solidarity among the population, which provides the demonstrators with food and drink and passes the time with them during stimulating conversations. People spontaneously drop by in the morning and bring coffee, fresh baked goods and fruit. In the middle of the night they bring tea, coffee or right away the coffee machine.
Spaghetti was cooked on Sunday, soup was announced for yesterday, and a 77-year-old woman was ready with umbrellas at 1:15 a.m. yesterday morning when it had started raining. Restaurant owners and other Sissach business owners make their parking lot available to the vigil.
Commentary by Transition News:
Under the impression of the so-called „Corona pandemic“, the Federal Court has changed its practice in 2020 in a clandestine manner and determined that the KESB, if the parents of a child do not agree, may order a forced vaccination.
Previously, if one parent was against it, the decision was made against it. This happened at the very time when politicians were making statements that vaccinations were of course not compulsory and that measures such as compulsory certification would only be introduced for epidemiological reasons.
In doing so, the Federal Court and previously the KESB threw elementary legal principles overboard. Among other things, the affected persons were not heard. However, they are entitled to be heard on the basis of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
The will of the children to forego vaccination played no role in the considerations of the Federal Court. And this at a time when even ten-year-old schoolchildren were allowed to be vaccinated against Covid against the will of their parents. In addition, the principle of proportionality was blatantly neglected.
PIU press spokesman Marek Schäfer drove yesterday in his speech before the picket heavy gun against the KESB Sissach-Gelterkinden. However, he also showed the authority a way out.
The latter could now annul the decree on the basis of newly introduced arguments. This would be an important victory for those who fear and want to prevent compulsory vaccination. But it would also improve the situation of an authority that has obviously lost its way.
